Commercial

Public spaces and commercial premises that are well designed can greatly enhance peoples experience of a place and improve both health and well being. My role as a Landscape Architect is to maximise the functionality of a space whilst my ecological background encourages me to explore a plant focused approach to increase biodiversity and restore habitats.
"This corporate roof terrace in London was the culmination of discussions with multiple stakeholders and tight planning restrictions. Materials chosen for the scheme were required to be sustainable for their entire lifetime."

"The scheme created a space that could be managed for multiple different functions, open space is to be filled by flexible furniture and fixed seating is focused around the margins."

"Weight loading and other technical aspects of building on rooftops inform all decision making, access is limited and defines the materials proposed and planting palette."
"When I am working on a larger scale in the public realm or for private organisations I am applying the same design principles as for any outside space. The importance of 'sense of place' and the design brief is key, an understanding of the stakeholders and users brings new complexities to the design."

"This large private office development has been developed to accomodate multiple business users whilst not affecting the local residents. The planning requirement for an ecological and landscape led design has resulted in a complex planting scheme with multiple 'break out' spaces, set within hedges and beneath specimen trees."
